The Louisiana State Circle is deeply saddened by the passing of Calvin Moret. Mr. Moret was the last living Louisiana member of the Tuskegee Airmen. Circle 5346 visited the Military Museum in Houma on August 29, 2015. This event was planned as a Circle event with 6 squires and 3 Knights. The boys had a blast and was able to get a ride in a tank. The tour was about 1 hour with a 20 minute tank tour. Also, Justin, Cameron, and Thomas drove the tank.

On August 2nd Circle 5346 in Houma, LA had a bake sale. These young men raised $553.00 for upcoming events and to assist with the Scholarship fund. Well done Circle 5346!!

On July 18th, Circle 5346 worked the bingo for the Homestead assistant living for the elderly. They provided all of the prizes and assisted with marking cards and calling the numbers. Circle #5346 had a great time and was represented with 4 knights and 5 squires.

On August 19, 2012, a Squires Mass was held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church where Circle Members served as greeters, altar servers, ushers, gift bearers, lecturers and participants.

The Squires and The Scouts come together for a special cause. Today our boys spent time helping at the Annual Cerebral Palsy Christmas Party. Fr. Saturday evening after the State Fishing Tournament some of the Squires volunteered to give the Knights a hand cooking and serving gumbo at Carencro Catholic School for the annual Gayla. This is a function for the parents to be able to come out and enjoy themselves for an evening of fun and public and silent auctions to raise money for the school. Thanks Squires.

This past weekend, the St. Maria Goretti Squires Circle #4857 in New Orleans held a membership drive. The KC State C.Y.L.A. Finals was hosted in Lafayette, LA. ,on April 10, 2011. I am proud of all the Area Boys and Girls winners for coming out and showing us why we have a better future with these Catholic young Men and Young Ladies leading the way. Tristan Romero, Sam Fournet, Andre Serio, Jaret Gary, Charlie Lewis, his parents Jimmy and Jennifer Lewis and Chris Fruge helped out fellow Squire Logan Cormier with his Eagle Scout Project.

The Project was cleaning up a Cemetary, pressure washing tombs sidewalks and mausoleums, also repainting a mausoleum.

I have been contacted by Circles with intent of reactivation of a Squires Circle in Sulphur, Louisiana and a New Circle in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
